As an AI Faculty Fellow, you'll receive institutional recognition and support for your work while helping build a university-wide framework for AI literacy, workforce development, and interdisciplinary innovation. This is your chance to:
- Lead educational innovation in AI across your discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues through Faculty Learning Communities and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to meaningful research on the impact of AI in teaching and learning.
- Shape institutional strategy through events, summits, and professional development programs.
Fellowship Categories
Teaching Fellows
Ideal for faculty passionate about curriculum development and pedagogy. Projects may include:
- Creating or redesigning AI-Designated Courses.
- Developing student-facing modules (e.g., AI literacy, AI simulations).
- Facilitating an AI Faculty Learning Community (FLC).
- Designing faculty development programs and teaching guides.
- Contributing to workforce readiness initiatives through AI-focused training.
Research Fellows
Focused on the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning in AI. Fellows will:
- Investigate the impact of UF’s QEP AI initiatives on student outcomes.
- Study teaching innovations and course design effectiveness.
- Evaluate faculty development programs like Practicum AI and the AI Learning Academy.
Service Fellows
For faculty ready to lead institution-wide efforts. Service activities may include:
- Chairing or organizing AI-themed events such as the UF AI Summit or college-based “AI Days.”
- Leading departmental or interdisciplinary AI conferences.
- Supporting AI outreach and engagement across the university.
